'The Sea The Sea' Exhibition Chichester West Sussex.

July looks like being a very busy month for me. It's my first time at Candida Stevens Fine Art Gallery in Chichester. The Exhibition 'The Sea The Sea' is all things connected with that ever inspiring wonder that is the Sea. The exhibition embraces all the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the great British seaside. Showing coastal theme paintings along side me are some wonderful talented artists, Marion Macphee and Charlotte Evans to name just two. The Show Starts  09 JULY - 30 AUGUST 2016

Explosion of the Palette

I'm showing my work at the wonderful new The Sentinel Gallery in Wivenhoe Essex. Wivenhoe is an historic village on the banks of the river Colne. It's approximately 3 miles from Colchester. Wivenhoe station is served by an electric rail service to and from London Liverpool Street via Colchester railway station. It's a lively creative place. It has a book shop, a coffee shop six pubs a river side walk and the Sentinel Gallery is the icing on the cake! Full of beautiful ceramics, paintings and jewellery.

The 'Explosion of the Palette' promises to be a colourful event. Along side my paintings will be ceramics and paintings by Kate Reynolds and Val Armstrong. The Private view is Saturday 4th June 11am - 5pm do come along for a glass of wine and to ponder some fine works.

A Cornish escape....

I recently returned from a wonderful relaxing break in Cornwall. Staying at the beautiful 'The Scarlet' hotel perched on the cliff over looking the bay at Mawgan Porth. Gazing out across the blue Atlantic taking in the fresh sea air certainly fed my soul... I feel recharged and wanting to get back into the studio to try and capture the essence of that magical place. The landscape so different to my beloved Suffolk, Essex coast. The sea so blue oh so blue the cliffs tops high and rugged. Sights and sounds still fresh in my mind.... I can't wait to return.

The path down to the blue, blue sea...

Spring time news....

After a very successful Affordable Art Fair with Foss Fine Art at Battersea. London. I'm back in the studio working on new paintings for exhibitions from Spring right through to Summer 2016.

I am very excited to be exhibiting with some new galleries. Candida Stevens Gallery, based at Chichester, Swan House Gallery, Harwich, and the Sentinel Gallery, Wivenhoe, Essex. (Check out exhibition dates on my front page)

Plus I will be represented by Foss Fine Art, London, Bircham Gallery, Norfolk and Hayletts Gallery, Essex. throughout the year.

Spring is a good time to declutter your home, out with the old in with the new ( maybe some art!) This could also apply to ourselves, maybe declutter our minds.... it could bring about some fresh ideas!

Affordable Art Fair, Battersea Park, London. Spring Exhibition.

Spring is here and for art galleries around the country it's that time of year to come together with the best crop of talent and display them under one vast roof. I'm represented by Foss Fine Art based in Battersea. It's a wonderful gallery, Caro the owner has a very discerning eye so there is always a beautiful selection of works on her stand. The Exhibition starts with a charity private view on Wednesday 9th of March and continues until the Sunday 13th. This year I have included more of an eclectic mix of work. It's always exciting to be part of an such an event.
