A time to reflect and a time to move on.....

As another year comes to an end it's time to reflect. To think about the good and the bad, the mundane and the incomprehensible....

Art has always been my way of escaping, to become so absorbed in my work and distance myself from my problems and worries. But it has been a difficult year for all of us. I'm a great believer in taking each day and trying to live in the moment.. Not just to LOOK at the beauty that is out there but to SEE it...

I'm working on new paintings for exhibitions in Feburary and March 2016, More news later... and a new exciting Gallery has approached me to exhibit in the Summer 2016 again more news about that in the new year.

Changing Times.

Images that capture my imagination.....

Gardens when they are past their best, or objects that are decaying, the skeletal form of plants when they have lost their flowers.

Rusting boats on the shoreline of Mersea Island.

 Tracks, low Tide 50cm x 50cm

Decaying Boats

Rusty old chains across the mud, upturned and decaying boats, a deserted beach, tracks in the sand, all influences that spark my imaginatin.
